Diversion is bit of a ■■■■■■■■ Up to Melton Mowbray on the a606. Only took me an hour and a bit. An alternative route is recommended!
There’s been loads of overnight closures on that section over the past 2 years or so. The diversion is a pita. Prior knowledge and planning is essential if using the A1 in the small hours
We come off at Newark go A17 to Sleaford then down A15 to Peterborough or visa virsa, better road and I think a little quicker.
I had to take that diversion last night, it’s a bit of a trek and slow going through Melton Mowbray and Oakham, I’ve got the same run tonight and don’t really see much of an alternative travelling from Bilsthorpe to Harlow. 
How do you know it is going to be closed again?
I thought I noticed a sign saying it was closed 23.05.16 for one night?
