A1 shut north at Newark (5th sept)

For anyone planning to go north on A1, its shut currently north of newark and the diversion is gridlock. Also affecting the A614 from A1 to Nottingham. No idea why at moment as only just got through it.

Oh and for those old timers with maps instead of proper sat navs, when you pass the private school, please dont turn right as you’ll keep me awake each time you hit the 14’ bridge. :smiley:

  • Doesnt show on Phillips map but is signed on road from one end.

According to the Radio a Truck crashed with a motorbike at 10.30 last night, the investigation is ongoing atm.

Luckily I turned off on the A46, but the A46 started to gridlock heading to Nottingham etc.

my mate belled me upto to warn me as he passed s/ b and he said it was a car but he did say screens were up

Was a tractor unit and trailer involved , didn’t spot another vehicle but I passed about 530am, could back up the motorcycle theory
