just went to the local BP garage at near kates cabin to get a few bits and was told that the A1 Northbound is going to be closed from 9pm onwards. Now i don’t no what for but i thought i warn you guys.

Roadworks - Resurfacing
The A1 northbound will be closed between the junctions with the A1139 and the A47 due to carriageway resurfacing, between 8 pm and 6 am, from 29 November 2011 to 6 December 2011.

They love a road closure,its only a short diversion but if you have come up the M11,A14 and then going all the way up the A1 there is a good chance this is not the only road closure yo will have to contend with
further up north (donny way - j34 area) resurfacing complete, contraflow was gone today.
