Given the pretend hgv related username and the lack of posts I’d say no, he’s never driven a truck. I’d go as far to say that he’s one of these self appointed road police car drivers who sees it as his God given right to slow down trucks by travelling at 40mph through this particular set of works and he’s spat his dummy out because some nasty truckers pull into lane two to pass the menace.

I get these dive bomber cars that are behind you at high speed then dive in front of trucks, so you have to slow down, if the average speed check is 50 mph, the muppets will do 44.4 mph, it must be some sort of new sport.

In all seriousness though, what is the fine/penalty for using the 2nd lane? At the first camera going north its directly in front of slip road, i had to move over to allow traffic to join so went through camera in lane 2 just wondered what i was to expect, thanks in advance

What I don’t understand is why the roadworks are so long in the first place, they could be reduced by miles on each side without affecting the H&S loons. For instance, the last 6 miles of the SB lanes could be put back to normal now, there’s very little work going on as its all being done on the other side. From catterick South, where the weight restriction starts, it’s the same road we’ve driven on since they had roundabouts there, yes kids, there used to be RBs there. Obviously no need for a width restriction there so they put a WT one instead.
