Well i hope if the Police are going to be clamping down on tailgating trucks they are also going to be clamping down on cars who approach the 50 restriction in the middle lane at 80 plus then dive bomb in front of the nearest truck braking harshly to 45 or below. Its every flaming time!

The signs where only changed on Thurs when the new 7.5 t enforcement’s came into place hence the number of police .
Its a two prong approach, its not only staying out of the 2nd lane, but also tailgating will be the other.
prosecutions will be made, so unless you want to give um your hard earn t dosh… lads heed my advice and drive safe and keep some distance.
And no matter whats in front of ya, be it a tractor, hurst or sanks pony, do not be tempted to overtake in the 2nd lane !

You will always get car drivers doing that, they suddenly wake up and see the speed camera ahead cut you up and then brake harshly

They changed the signs to 7.5t limit on lane 2 in the wide bits ages ago.
Perhaps that only came into force today, but I didn’t see anything to make think that.
Initially there was no restrictions other than 50 in the wider bits and a width restriction of 2.0m / 6’ 6" in the narrow lane sections.
I used to overtake the grannies when in the wider bits, but noticed the new 7.5t limit on lane 2 at least a month ago.

Surely they have to catch you in the act of overtaking or tailgating. Or is there camera’s that they use. The ones on the poles are surely just for average speed between A and B.

Foolish waste of money, call it ignorance but either way … truckers are still being caught out in the 2nd lane with a weight restriction and the only people laughing are the police when the revenue rolls in from them.

think about it !! what other ways are their … then remember its not difficult and this is no different to any other road works… all options are open and are going to be implemented.

Come on then steve somethings obviously rattled you , theres plenty of specs cameras and width restrictions about so what is about this particular set thats got you so wound up, not that it makes any difference but do you actually drive a truck?
Given the pretend hgv related username and the lack of posts I’d say no, he’s never driven a truck. I’d go as far to say that he’s one of these self appointed road police car drivers who sees it as his God given right to slow down trucks by travelling at 40mph through this particular set of works and he’s spat his dummy out because some nasty truckers pull into lane two to pass the menace.

Pretend to be an hgv driver? why ? is the job that glamorous ? lam still/have been for 15 yrs, what kinda reaction do you want/or expect to stupid comments such has these made? their not opinions … but pathetic attempts to get a reaction.
15 trs clean licence No points, no tailgating… 35 hours cpc completed no speeding fines thro the door. what else do ya wana assume incorrectly.
