A week with the JTF express part 2

Well another weekend gone and a another week started so I thought I’d do another week in the life of JTF. We start at base in Leeds with an easy 07:30 start taking returns back to Metsa in Widnes that I collected on Friday last week. I get all my stuff into the lorry and do my checks and away we go.

I arrive at widnes in good time despite monday morning traffic and i get here for 09:40, tipping and collecting for 6 drops starting in hertfordshire ending in a place called Bulphan. A good start to the week as 4 drops are inside the m25 which means a little extra in the pay packet next week.

I eventually get loaded and strapped down ready to go, getting as far down as i can to my first drop in hertfordshire as i can as i won’t be able to get offloaded until in the morning.

I get a few hours down the road and get parked up at Jack hills cafe at Towcester with plenty of time to spare. Starting up again at 05:30 in the morning, giving me around 13 hours off so i give the lorry a quick polish.

So alas that’s my day, apologies it isn’t as interesting as most other days but alas it does get better! Just have these slow days where its just a load up and park up jobs.

Next update either tomorrow or wednesday :sunglasses: till then take care folks.

Cheers

I hardly ever see the Longs rigids. Seen a few artics today on the A1 on the way back from Newcastle.

Hope you had the tacho set to “other work” whilst polishing :stuck_out_tongue:

Find myself on the m6 alot near widnes. As most of thebwork ive done is timber with occasional loads of paper. Can’t tell mine apart from the rest of the rigids. Getting the wheel trims and covers taken off next weekm and painted up. Nameplate will be on in a few weeks.

Want mine to stand out a bit

Cheers

Be on the lookout for a white Renault Premium with blue curtains, a RADAR number plate in the windscreen and a gourmless ■■■■ behind the wheel!

a gourmless ■■■■ behind the wheel!

That bits the easy bit :grimacing:
