I agree it is a massive white elephant but the government would never have spent that much on us mere human beings. They don’t have the money!

How do they read the motorway messages when most of the people who will be there are from other countries ? It’s not like a lot of British people are bothered about it anyway
I often wonder who picks up the cost for those signs when they’re displaying information other than safety items too.
The Don’t drink & drive one racks me off as well as the Think Bike, Think Biker. As far as I’m concerned the signs should be restricted to emergancy use at all times. Those who drink & drive know full well they shouldn’t & from what I’ve seen too few bikers give a monkeys about other road users so why put the signs up.
I have noticed the signs on the M4 in the Swindon area sometimes flash up various content & then give an all clear. One morning the sign flashed a lane closure but very briefly, brake lights came on & then we got an all clear with the folowing sign displaying “testing” If they’re “testing” why not put it on all of the ones they’re “testing” ?
