Have a look, you’ll love it or hate it!!! I’m still not sure.
My mates worked there 4 years and he’s not a happy bunny because they are down speccing the trucks from scania toplines to highlines. So it looks like he will be getting one of these new ones. IMHO they would of been better saving the cash for new toplines instead of wasting it on these new paintjobs.

What’s wrong with a Highline? I can still stand in one and there’s still room to put things in. I would be happy to get a new 60 plate truck.

Ooh you will have Jenk after you now, rumour has it that Jenk has more money than Stobart and Tinkler put together, you may be thinking about the biomass deal where they share the job. Stobart work for Jenkinson I think
The wrap is made by Mark Aston who is probably old school tie buddies with William, Andrew, Paul Bird, Malcolm Wilson and Jenkinsons, they seem to have a knack of keeping the business in their native ■■■■■■■

I suppose it’s what you get used to. He won’t have any problem standing up in one. I used to have one and I couldn’t stand up in it, but then I am 6"8 so that’s my parents fault rather than the manufacturer
Jenkinson let Stobart have some of his work as he couldn’t be arsed running any more trucks. The bloke that owns it is mega minted and is a very big noise up there so i’ve heard. The new livery is a wrap sticker not a paint job, shame they downsized from top lines. Saving a couple or three grand per truck over it’s life cycle is nothing compared to moody drivers.
Can someone explain the number plate what the 60 all a bout
Sorry if i am being a thicky
60 is the current registration that we are now on Sep 2011 will be 61,Sep 2012 62, etc.
I stand to be corrected but I’m sure I read somewhere that Jenky’s bought the new highlines "en mass " in unison with Stobarts thereby getting an enhanced discount for both parties
As for the new wrap ■■ …I like it I await your abuse

Yeah I thought that was the only link between the two bar doing similar work.
As for wraps, some look great and are often a lot cheaper than paint jobs.

Or giving the drivers a wage rise ?

On the 1st March 2011 it changes to 11 then Sept to 61 and March 2012 it will be 12 then Sept 62 and so on.
As regards to the wrapround livery they do it because it makes it easier to resell the truck when its plain white again.

By all accounts the money is already pretty good. But I see your point. I say keep the old motors and give a pay rise
It was always fun to be sat on the next seat to a couple of Jenks on the train, fire breathing venom spitting towards the big bad green machine
