A video i forgot to add to my old diary

when i went to the ukraine recently, someone took this video

you may want to turn your sound down a bit unless drum and bass floats your boat

You’re not fooling anyone, mat

And not a single rock through the windscreen…
Nice one

Dorohusk, I presume?

thats the one harry, think we were there 15 hours once we got to the front

Nice video. Are you allowed to pass to the front due to what you are carrying? Also what is the name of the song that is playing?

i think its more to do with money changing hands, plus its not like you can deliver the show a day late unlike a load of carpets so to speak

the music is drum and bass arena presents andy c (double disc with grooverider, superb mix great for driving to)

i was wondering why there were no protesting drivers trying to block your way.
i have never done eastern bloc as such, but i remember the queues at la jounquera and irun etc,
you darent try to run the line.
at least your alive to tell the tale…

In my experience it is because you are being escorted, either by the Police or some type of security vehicle (or a ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  Mercedes-Benz) which is manned by psychopathic thugs who make British wheelclampers look cute by comparison.

:sunglasses: :sunglasses: Great vid Euromat – the look on those driver’s faces standing by their cabs, waiting in the queue. :open_mouth: :open_mouth:
Shame we can’t do the same in ā€œOperation Stackā€ :sunglasses: That would make a few go super mad :imp: :imp: :stuck_out_tongue: :exclamation: :exclamation:

The ones at the back would probably have been in for a two or three day wait- I have been through this border eight or nine times myself- but like euromat says a Rock 'n Roll tour just can’t mess around with that queueing-up nonsense.

Other trucks are exempt from queueing- those carrying fresh produce, mail, anything urgent.

I have queued, I have been escorted to the front of the queue. All of the drivers in the queue would have realised that it was a particularly important movement.

yup normally, although this time it was a volvo estate with his hazard lights on, and the bloke is like a beanstalk!!! just bravado i guess!

You are not going to make many friends this way (jumping queus)

Without an ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  you’d be risking smashed windscreen or mirrors torn off

your right, but like harry said, its normally got flashing blue lights at the front, i do feel sorry for all the trucks we go past, but its part of our job

great vid mate but i thought redburn had gone bust

Don’t think so Sean, saw their trucks in Brixton this Automn

awesome tuneage :d

id hate to wait int hat queue though for 3 days would be rubbish.

sean vernon:

no mate, not got many trucks, but his drivers are kept busier than what we are (if they want the work that is!) one of the rigid drivers i was chatting to said he did 50 out of 52 weeks last year!

Good vid!

Not sure why, but I found it hypnotic watching all those trucks go by for 8 minutes, must have been the music! lol.
