Out walking near Loughborough and saw these in the distance . I know it happens to them all but was this anyone on here’s pride and joy ?
I could do with a few bit off that Yellow Olympic on the left of pic 2
Funny I’m not a bit nostalgic about trucks but I get down seeing all the airplanes being stored and scrapped in Victorville.
I get all dewey eyed at old steam locomotives, but when a road vehicle is fit for scrap then scrap it.

That’s the place ! I had followed the river for a few miles , just past here I found the best ever cafe / cake shop for elevensies . Shame but absolutely nowhere to park a truck nearby.
But I found what I would like Santa to bring me for a garden ornament at Crimbo
I been to that cafe too after spending a cold winter morning at Tims removing a XL roof top with cheese wire .
Very poignant photos. I’m surprised the Foden didn’t goo for export. Can anyone identify the make and model of these trucks, because most of them have me stumped.
Apart from the yellow one which someone has already said is an ERF Ec Olympic and the olf Foden on the far right, I’d say the rest are all either DAF CFs or Foden Alphas.

Mainly Alpha mk1 on that row as the air intake is on the drivers side ,most of the lorries there have knacked engines or have been cut out for export .

Are you thinking 2 nd from the left ? I think it’s a alpha 2 by the way the corner panels get wider at the bottom.

Cargo directly under yellow tilted cab, Eurotech next to it?
Alpha 1 left ,next to looks like a iveco but look at the corner panels and the horrible daf style window door arrangement ,Tim only really breaks fodens with the occasional Erf or Daf .
Just imagine some of you could have slept in one of them, now there’s a trill for you to get exited about.

I reckon the one under the yellow olympic is an old DAF 85 (pre CF) and the one next is a high cabbed CF.

But the one bellow the yellow cab don’t stick out on the side like a Daf does

I did notice that but i thought it might just be the way the photo was taken than hides the shape a bit. The air intake on the roof looks like its from 85, the grab handles and the black plastic under the windscreen look like they’re from a DAF and the front corner panels look like they are from a 85 too.
Oh and the black bit on the side of the cab looks like the recess next to the door handle on the DAF also.
The funny thing is Mr Walker runs some trucks on the road like what’s in the picture’s
