A Thank You to the J.Lewis driver this morning

I like to thank the J.Lewis driver if he comes on here as
This morning he gave me a few flashes as I went pass him on the M1.
At first I thought he was flashing me in, but after a few flashes and the light went on the side of the trailer I noticed my side skirting hinge had lifted up.
Hard to notice it in the dark.

Cheers Driver

Thought that was going to go the other way, wrong again. How great to hear of one driver helping another.

Reminds me years ago when I did buses. I was in a M.A.N and the battery tray right underneath my seat had slid out. I wondered why cars were giving me such a wide berth on the freeway until some bloke started blowing his horn and his wife was screaming at me and pointing to the four batteries.

I was slowing down to turn right on to an industrial estate once when I saw a builders truck coming off the estate and turning left towards me.
I flashed my lights, tooted my horn and even waved out of the window until he got the message and stopped so I could point to the crane leg sticking 3 feet out on to my side of the road. :open_mouth:

Well done, didn’t some poor person die not so long ago after being hit by a stabiliser leg being left out on a lorry whilst they walked along a footpath?

I flashed & beeped a guy in a little single car transporter a while back, much gesticulating from me when alongside to pull over, he does I pull in behind on hard shoulder.

He storms out, itching for a punch up attitude “what’s yr beeping problem pal” me “your ramps are not secured mate, are about to fall out”

He looks, “oh beep, err thanks for that mate”

2 big 7 odd ft long heavy steel loading ramps were making a bid for freedom, hate to think how much carnage that could have caused!

It’s not clever to be on hard shoulder, but I had to get that fella to stop & see why.

Beeped a petrol tanker when alongside other wk, proper flat tyre on trailer & he’d not noticed, I had to write FLAT on price of paper & hold it up as he thought I was mad I think, once I’d done it he thumb up’d & pulled over.
