Just like to thank the 2 cracking HATO guys who’ve just towed me and my stricken truck onto the H/S on the M5 just north of the M4. The traffic was already stopped northbound due to a prior incident so after sitting for ten mins or so and like a good Microlise driver I switched the engine off. WRONG!!!
I’ve got every warning under the sun flashing up on my dash even with the ignition off and keys out! I’ve tried locking and unlocking the cab from inside and outside, but to no avail.
Anyway, 2 HA guys turned up, no fuss, no drama, attached a strap and pulled me onto the shoulder. Just how it should be imo. Anyway, gonna wait for the poor recovery guy who is gonna have to lay in the slush to pick me up.
Personally, I’d try disconnecting the batteries for 30 seconds and then reconnecting them, although I know most firms wouldn’t want you to attempt repairs yourself.
Update. I tried that with the batteries Harry, made no difference tbh. Every light on the exterior of the truck, the interior of the truck and the dash was lighting up independently (with the ignition keys out). Sat for an hour or so waiting for MAN to come out, when he did, guess what? Yep you got it, fired up first time, no more dash warnings, no problems at all! Bloody typical.
Weight wise I was pulling and empty fridge trailer so I’d guesstimate my weight as 3499kg, honest officer!
Now parked up in Nuneaton, so pub o clock methinks.

OK so I’ll open the book with “It’s a trailer fault, short on the EBS module back-feeding the tractor ignition”.
Not quite as technical as your description but I did suspect a suzy fault as the trailer lights were doing strange things too. Unplugged said suzies, no difference at all, dash and unit lights doing strange stuff.
Did 350 km Saturday, and now at Brakes Reading and I’ve had no problems since. Same trailer BTW. Go figure!
Whilst we are saying "Thank you " ,
may I take the opportunity to say a BIG "Thank You "to the truck driver who was travelling south M1 / .
As a car slid out of control in the inclement weather ,
the truck driver being clearly switched on , manoevered their vehicle and covered the lanes and sounded their air horn to alert the HATO crew who were hard shoulder dealing with a prior collision.
A very close near miss overted thanks to his/her actions.
Don`t know who you are bud, but “Thank You” .
