Hi TT looks like a perfect solution to me “F14” big tried and tested V8 instead of the original. I had several Volvos with the TD100A motor which were utterly reliable, but the TD100B in the later F88’s rated at 290 bhp were a disaster, even the derated version at 278 bhp in the first F10’s weren’t much better.I think they tried a TD100 GA rated at 256 bhp in some models. They went on to develop the TD100 up to 299bhp and eventually 320bhp with more success! Cheers
sorry eric ,the project failed not bye the engine v,but volvo;S drivetrain was a bad as Scania,s so the gearbox failed ,nodays we know scannis real power (nm,s) is higher then volvo,s (hp) but they still fighting,always it is scannies more power volvos better transmission?cheer benkku, PS that was the best volvo ever in my opinion
