A so called one weeks work

-well Ladies and gentlemen, I got back
late Saturday, after 12days out ,My lorry is
parked up in Antwerp at present, I did the first run
tuesday13th first off i cleaned out the foodtanker
by the schalke football ground, and then off to
Neuss to load 24tn of edible oil for delivery
down in Ditzingen(byStuttgart)AFTER loading
I set off down the A57 to Köln and thenvia the
A1 on to the A61, made it past Rhinebollen before
I had to stop ,so i took the time to do a bit of shopping at lidols next to the motorway,
after my break i carried on and made it
to the customer, its a late start tomorrow
as 0830 is when they open, unloading takes
two and a half hours as its a run off into the cellar
the ofice has already phoned up and said its a
change over in Mannheim and back to the yard
So once the tank was empty and the paperwork
done i set off across country via the B10 TO
Bruchsal, here i joined the motorway and went off up the A5 ,A6 to Mannheim ,after changeing tanks
i drove back to the yard,ITS A EARLY MORNING START tomorrow so i stayed in the yard.
0500hrs off to the factory picked up a new tank
loaded with ““HOT”” chemicals for Detmold
after a break enroute got to the customer
and unloaded, this took some time during which
the firm phoned and told me to come back to the yard after droppiong off the tank back at the factory, on the yard another tank was waiting
this was empty and i set off down the A45
heading for OBERNBURG ,where all i had to do was swop tanks and then park up until
friday so we drove down and swopped tanks
next day i set off for Gersthofen, wher i had to unload and reload, the trip took a total of
5hrs30mins which includes a 45break,
after doing the paper work at the factory
i went in and unloaded, with areload
straight away after wards, drove then as far
as possible along the country roads
which ment i took my rest in a layby
sunday saw me heading for the factory
in Obernburg where i unloaded ,had to
wait for a worksmate to come where we swopped tanks Sunday morning i set off down to Gersthofen again, here i had to unload and reload as before, and drive back and unload
this was done i then had 24hrs off
and set off Tuesday
got back on the yard for 0830
yes once again it was change tanks this time i was given a container, which had to be cleaned out and
with a vacum test,
so yet again off to the tankwash ,and cleaned out with test, my next destination was Rotterdamm
here I loaded for a customer in Antwerpen
the trip to rotterdamm was plauged with traffic jams ,and on the ring from rotterdamm there was a bad accident,so made the journey a little bit longer, the loading went quickly, my delivery was
for wenseday, here is were my boss really makes his money, we had to unload at a new storeage area
so this ment lots of waiting aroundinfact it took
6hours wenseday, after unloading, i had to clean out and test the container, my loading time was for thursday with deliver for friday, after the cleanout i set off for Rotterdamm where i loaded yet again for the same customer in Antwerpen
Friday it took8hrs and as luck would have it
i had to do a hot shot load for Mondays delivery
SO OFF I WENT TO CLEAN OUT and then up to Rotterdamm to load , after loading i set off
and ended up parked in Antwerpen, where,i got picked up and brought home,

hope this was not too boreing i will attempt to
procur a camera and do some pictures
when i can .

Lidls here don’t take visa, but they do sell ■■■■… life is interesting eh?

allikat , you should buy your ciggies in
either HOLLAND €3-4 euros for 24
or better still LUX 17cigs cost about
€3-4 euros in GERMANY; ALSO
you pay a deposit on all beer and soft drinks as well, have a look at the
ALDI and the LIDOL web sites they show you where all their shops are in
europe, wine is cheaper in GERMANY
plus sprits,

Just wondered how that worked Pete, whenever I loaded at Walter Rau, it meant we could only clean in the oil factory with the little Greek bloke. Best clean ever but it took over 2 hours and was normally a full days job to beat Anhalt, Hoyer and Van den Bosch

yes that is still how RAU works as he
had problems from some of the subbies
that did the work which was not done
by the firms own vehicles, BUT they
have a new modern tankwash now
and its quicker,However I loaded else where
and they except the cleaning ticket from
any of the reconised &certified tankwashes,

are you still doing jobs out of the RAU
factory Wheelnut, as we do pull for RAU,
but not that often ,as we are not a cheaper
option, we used to deliver to the factory ,
further down the road ,when we where doing the sunflower oil, but nowadays, all sunflower oil is comeing out of Holland mainly,

No had a change of plan with the food tanks and doing a bit of general till something comes along. They seemed to have difficulties understanding that even lowlife drivers like to sleep sometimes :stuck_out_tongue:
