Bakewell ?

Bakewell ?
Hi Suedehead, 'fraid it’s not Bakewell mate, sorry.
Hmm I dunno, Halifax?
I’m sure I’ve seen that hill from my mum’s old house in Huddersfield, so I’m going to guess Huddersfield, or somewhere very close.

Hi Lonewolf Yorks, 'fraid it’s not Halifax either, sorry mate.

Hi Martin, I’ll agree mate, it does look like Huddersfield or maybe Elland, but I’m afraid it’s not mate.
Oh alright then I’ll stop teasing you.
You are stood just off Henry street, looking down the rear of the houses on Schofield road (on your right) and the Shell garage is on the A682 Haslingden road just by its junction with the A681. The river is the Irwell and the town is Rawtenstall.
Oh yeah and old Mrs Jenkins lives in the 2nd house down on the left.
Next!..
some were in north wales and the a55
Shipley.
Ken.
I’ve told you all where it is

Spot-on on all counts.
We have a winner

Hi Ken, Nice try mate, but the scrutineer has checked the times of the posts…
LOL to be fair that was a good one, I knew it had to be within a certain area. What threw me was the size of the ‘roundabout’ which is more of a small one way system. Oh and Mrs Jenkins says can you make her hovel look a bit better next time.

Hi Lonewolf Yorks, When I saw the opportunity to take that photo, I immediately thought of you.
I think that’s a fair point about the roundabout though, and maybe I called it by the wrong name, because it does look like a small one-way system.
The ‘roundabout’ is teardrop-shaped and there’s a fairly large building in the middle of it.
It was still a great contest though.
My next ‘where am I’ will be a pic of a pidgeon loft in the middle of Siberia with just the sky as background and a ‘no clues’ policy.
That should do the trick.
Ah yes the old ‘Pigeon Lane’ Mongolian I-175, Theres dozens of pigeon lofts off it. Any old Asia driver worth our salt will get that

Yes Lonewolf, I was also thinking that might be a bit too easy, so I’m off to come up with something quite fiendish for your enjoyment.
<slinks away wondering how to beat Lonewolf…>
