It’s me again I think that one worked so lets try another one this one is of me and polly (well just his wagon) when I broke down on the auto route just before Nice we did fix it!
Good job Andy, well done, bring 'em on!
What F89 did Polly have before PAA710P? I had PAA710P but didn’t have the spots under the bumper so I don’t think it’s that one.
Ah the memories Gazzer…I can smell ,em from here.
Good to see your photos as well Andy.
Hi Andy, great nostalgic pics again mate.
I,m pretty sure it was Storesafe that Elkie was driving for.
Well done Andy. Good photos. Don’t get disheartened if no one comments, we are all taking it in. Some will see it much later on.

Before the A8 was even thought about, through Menton and then climb, climb , climb…
I live down that way now and that grand corniche hasn’t changed that much surprisingly. Keep the pics coming…Cheers , Balders…
hello Baldrick thanks for your repl y I don’t think we do know each other cos your name dos’n’t ring a bell but then not a lot rings bells nowadays! I started for Rawlings in 1970 and stayed till 72 I think . I had an AEC Mercury but always ran at 32 gross! then a F86 man what a step up from an AEC it was quite comfortable and easy to drive I did a few trips to Italy in it, green as grass was I, loads of tinned food in case I couldn’t find any where to eat!!! you know what I mean! I did break down on one of those trips thats another story .After the 86 I had Olio’s 88 and did just UK with it ,oh yes I did do holiday relief for Bob Gerard and did a couple of Munich’s in his lovley shiney 88 and promtly put a dent in it by jack knifing on the A25 he was not a happy bunny, but forgiving.( We worked together again for Horace) talking of that beer run, it could not be done with out, not going to bed on Wednesday night! and Bob did this I think for nearly two years. When I left Rawlings I worked with Nigel Wood as a mechanic for Eurohaule . Horace Ransome was an owner driver then with a scania vabis it had more gear levers than that ,he was doing traction here and there . Any way after his Varbis he bought a 110, one night on the way home from soton he passed a copper on the winchester bypass (stood on the side of the road) and the wind raised his coat flaps! any way hot pursuit --blow in the bag and I got offered a job on A&J transport and that was me, off and on with dear old Horace till 1985 when I finished international after a prang in Malaga (things were getting a bit loose if you know what I mean late nights and early mornings) My last trip over the water was for our founder member no less than Mr Tranit him self,!! and I don’t work for nothing! Browny points Ian? no I’m only joking!I was going to poste a few pics with this prose but its got a bit late now ,11pm so I’ll do them another time Salut Baldrick and any one else who reads this .andybyname
