Good afternoon Andybyname.Who had your 141 when you left Horace? Regards Charlie.

Hi Charlie didn’t Kevin (Gerbil) drive the Scania 141 for Horace?
Regards Pat
Hi Pat.Yes you are correct.Kevin did drive the 141 after I went into hospital.I did one trip.Only got as far as Le Havre and collapsed. And was then in hospital for a few weeks.I always said that Kevin nicked it off me! Only joking.Regards Charlie

Well hello Charlie how the devil are you still on the ball I think memory wise me not so good I,ve got ajob to remember what I did yesterday! In answer to your question I don,t know who drove it straight away but when I went back to Horace about 18 months later a bloke called Johny Herbert was driving it I actually drove it for a trip while he was on holiday Iremember there was an 8inch dagger tucked behind the screen pillar ! I thought at the time STS must be going to some dodgy places now!Just before I go Charlie finish this sentence to make awell known phrase or saying---- Don,t know why got no buttons______________?_here is a pic of the 141 I asked Horace if he could put some strips on it cos it was all the rage then and he said that he left it up to the paint shop there you go !!! salut for now Andy
Johnny Herbert…went on to great things in the F1 circles…nah! went to work for MURCO out of the Theale Depot!

Hi Kevin. When I came back to work after my hospitalisation Herbert already had taken on my 141.Horace then bought me that Transcon.Good puller but you needed about two miles to stop.Andy used to live in Ropley then moved to France.See you in August.Regards Charlie.

Hello Kevin how’s it going still got a good memory then just to confirm what Charlie said ginger and I lived next door to each other in Ropley until he went to France in 1999 I didn’t go until 2002 I went then so that I could retire early. Trucks! when I went back on for Horace he seemed to have wagons all over the place, I did drive the trans con it was like driving a block of flats! that was after the sergeant he took on another wagon to do UK only.I then drove Jim Street’s 111 I can’t remember how long I had it, all be it long enough to crunch the left hand front corner, It wasn’t my fault honest! after that I had an F12, nice comfy wagon air con as well ,until it stopped working , you knew Horace! then I had to open the like every body else! Does any body know the most number of wagons Horace had at any one time . One for you Charlie n’es par . Before I go I’ll try and find another pic by for now Andy
Hi Andy nice pics got any more of VHO Kev’s 141■■
Regards Jimski
Hello Andy, Have not seen you a long time (25 years) The pics are good , put some more on please.
Richard G
Hello Jimski sorry mate that’ s the only one I took of the 141. The paint was still wet when I took that pic ’ its first trip’. Hello Richard how the devil are you? what clever things these computers are.I read about your health probs I hope your getting better now .I read in earlier threds that you had a few races with was it Ian? I remember one time we were running home bound on the A6 I think we had a small convoy!,it was at night, oops! you probably remember the rest of the story ,forum rules just popped up and stopped me from finishing it! Any way you said you hadn’t seen me for 25 years well this is what I look like now! I’m just on my way to pick some food for my rabbits .! And a few more pics of way back then
Evening all! Hope all is well. Richard when I was talking to you and the Forum cut across and stopped me in my tracks I think I have susted out why, Ispoke of the A6 which was the autoroute 6 in France not the A6 in the UK and 90 was in klicks and not in MPH any way I’ll try to continue, It was dark ,Head of the convoy (3 trucks!) 90 kilometers per hour and a wagon came past me with all his lights out you can imagine — scared the ■■■■■ out of me! it was you up to your normal pranks

Ha Richard do you remember a night out in Italy, Rome I think ,Olio was there as well and we went on a drive around you know looking for the usual , and we came across this nice young man who came up to the unit and started to talke to us , thinking he was on a winner but all he got was about 5 litres of oil on his head

Exit stage left rappido

Needless to say nobody followed us. And then there was the ■■■■■ and the squady I think I had better stop now!Cheers Richard I’ll see if Iv’e got some more pics Salut
