Yep 141 Pat. Dont know where it came from, I dont think it was new, I did a stint in it for a while when my Ovlov was off the road. Kept breaking down, contaminated fuel blocking the chassis glass filter.
You do look lovely Todd. Very photogenic.
Its the subbies of this world that clear up the sh*t that the other prima doners (kebab luvvers) wouldn’t touch…literally (skins etc.) and make a few quid and keep the principal hauliers in their Oxford Street wine bar lifestyle that they aspired to! No names, no names!
You did a similar job with me Richard, swapping trailers, Bolzano apples, Germany, back to Bolzano and Susa. Same sh*t, different trucks.
I had NO idea Charlie. What ever turned your head? Las Ramblas maybe?
Feliz ano nuevo? fair enough?
Charlie, you changed sheds and gone back norf, aht uv Pompey?
Nice RV gif Pat!
I will tell you Gazzer what started me off.It was seeing Traniht in a bra and knickers one night on the Viking 1V.I asked him how long he had been wearing womens underclothes. He said “Ever since the wife found them on the back seat of the car” I thought that he looked rather fetching,so I copied. The never ending story continues. Have deleted all my contacts on Skype. Is yours “Bar Gasper?” Best regards Charlie.
Sorry Gazzer.Forgot to say about Alton.Moved here in September.Nice here and its a bit closer to my “friend” Regards Charlie.
Si Carlos, bargaspar.
Perhaps Mrs. traniht assumed Ian was being SOOOOO thoughtful and he had gone out and purchased said items for her, so out of character! Maybe a never to be repeated event. How did you come by ours then? I always took you for being the shy and retiring type! Perhaps you were lithesome in your youth and hopped garden fences!
Hi Gazzer. Thanks for the info.Yes I was a very shy young man as you well know.I think it was all drink induced. There is a downside to all this.It is not easy to drive an 89 wearing a basque and high heels.Best regards Charlie.
Spotted in Alton the other day
Remind you of anyone?
Regards Pat

If I,d been Pollys pimp,I would have retired much earlier Richard.Good Idea though.Certainly looks a bit like him Gazzer.I wonder if he had a secret life? I only saw him a few times over the last few years.I think that he was quite ill towards the end RIP Polly.

Hi Gerbil.Yes you are right.Everyone is waiting for everybody to put up postings, but too lazy to do so.I spoke to Traniht a couple of weeks ago on the landline.(He is on skype but has no camera or mic!) I have quite a few photos of my time on Rawlings but for the life of me I can,t get them up.a ( Know a few like that) Will keep trying. My first F88 VCG 668H.was either bought by either Ian Lawson or French Dairy Farmers or the other way round.I remember seeing it in both liveries ot one time or another. When I first started I was on the Conder Steel job.Iwas earning twice the money as over the water, but I wanted to be a big wheel man! What a plonker! Lets have a few more postings lads.Spoke to Gary Wright a few days ago and he reminded me that I worked with you on R and A.Another senior moment.Regards Charlie
Ha Ha dont worry about it charlie got the same problem. i also worked for roy muscatoe as maggied said i actually worked for him twice drove his marathon both times. also worked for thomases at lasham on the bulkers drove an f86 volvo for them. and before that subbied for chris hills at farrigdon .good old days, young and stupid started at 4 every morning up to spilliers in silvertown then 6 or 8 farm delivers on the way home could not do it know.

Ps where is traniht? He won,t answer his skype.I,ve tried sending flowers.Zilch.
As indicated on another thread, traniht and myself are to undertake a mammoth jaunt to the southern extremities of Europe next month. Rather than trying to do the trip in the quickest time possible, the idea this time is to stop at old hostelries we pass and hoover up any lingering credit left by any of you from bygone years. Perhaps to speed our journey along and save fruitless questions being asked in establishments that may have changed hands, you, as our illustrious colleagues of old, could indicate to us where such hooverings could take place and we, your public servants in Europe, would raise a glass to you and wish you good health for the future! It is such a waste to know such credit exists out there in Europe and that you will not have much opportunity to avail yourselves of it’s value.
We, your ever faithful ambassadors of Les Routiers, cordially thank you in advance for your understanding and gratitude in this matter.
It also means we will keep off the motorways so as not to pay tolls, saving even more dosh.
P.S. It does not matter where you may have deposited any credits, we will arrange our route to suit.
P.P.S. Any accounts found in debit will be noted and we will pass on your contact details, to enable Le Patron an avenue for recompense.
What we need really is some of you who done France /Spain on a regular basis to give us your idea of the best routiers on our journey from Calais to Malaga and please bear in mind that we are shipping at 08.30 on a sunday arrive Calais about 11.30 so there is the first challenge Sunday lunchtime??
We havnt decided on a route yet could be Rouen Le Man N10 Irun etc or maybe down the middle over the new bridge then via La Junquera or even Paris Lyon and along the South coast. Give us your ideas and we will do our best to try them out.
