I agree there put the Chinese in charge will be done quicker and better. look at this coronavirus they built a 1000 bed hospital in 10 days.
The shortest route from mainland UK to Ireland would be from the Mull Of Kyntyre to Torr Head in Antrim, a bridge there would cause the least problems for shipping and it is also the shallowest sea route for bridge foundations. But if Scotland eventually get independence it would be money wasted for the UK government!

But the hinterland for that route is too small: would Dublin and more southern Irish traffic heading for the channel ports and South of England run north to run South again?
Wouldn’t they still use the ferries Rosslare to S, Wales?

Pay everyone Chinese wages and we can make lots of things cheaper, and by employing lots of cheap labour, quicker too.

Time is money. Cheaper labour equals the chance to throw more bodies into construction, making cement and steel.

It’s very interesting, and gives a good idea of what’s in store for the ordinary people who voted for Brexit.
There are some amazing videos on you tube about Chinese railway construction. Absolutely no doubt they are now the masters in this field. The Queensferry Crossing was built with their steel ,watch this space and see how long it lasts! I would certainly give them full control of HS2. They must be wetting themselves laughing at us right now.
would no bleve all you read about the chinks. in 2008 i was in Shenyang city in northern china decided to go visit the famous “lily tower” giant glass tower at the centre of a huge ornamental gardens id read about it . The tower was only 8 years old but closed permanently by the looks for a long time ,i peered thru the dusty doors and the ground floor it was just full of wrecked furniture. All the fantastic gardens were dead it was a horrid sight . i didnt see 1 bird in the week i was in the area. But theres nothing on the net about it,even to this day
