A rideinthe Passenger Seat

this is a little description of one the two trips i took with a friend
last week, not a great post i know but hopefully a begining,
right we start monday-nights trip, Got picked up at the house
by my mate and we then drove down to the industrial estate, where
they do the changeover,we both cjecked the wagon and drag over
and after karl put his disk in we went to get our demountable-bodies
THE LOADING point was 10kms away on the outskirts of Dortmund
the ensureing paperwork and the pick-up of the two boxes was
completed in one hour,so we set off for the depot in Hanover
this takes normaly 2hrs30mins when no problems decide to
crop up, wel what can i say, where were the german police when
you want them,It seems that certain member states now belive that
they are in the EUspped limits ,traffic rules do not apply to them
why because in the roadworks where the speedlimits was 60kmh
and no overtakeing for lorrys,YES we got a maniac doing 80–90kmh
in the o/s lane with his Hungarian lorry, then we had a 3 lane lorry race
just aftzer the road works ended,so after we reached the depot we
refueled, dropped off the two boxes and were given another two to return
back to Dortmund,so we set back off down the road this time we had a
easy trip no problems, APART FROM seeing how bad the parking
situation has grown,GERMANY has stated that they will bebuilding
a new 30.000lorry parking places, unfortunatly this will take some time to
complete, Once we arrived at the depot we dropped off both boxes
and returned to the changeover spot where we then ened the trip,
and set off back home,

and I bet the overtaking took place on the a1 junction 72

Sorry Roy ich bin DOOF as i have not put down which roads we used
the route was along the A2 and then off by HANOVER AIRPORT
tHE GERMAN SYSTEM of policeing their roadworks
is a bloody catastrophe, and they should ask the
UK motorway police for HELP, the traffic in the roadworks
is one where no rules apply, A good friend who was a
ex police-Driveing-instructor, told me to all ways drive
at the allowed speed, because when a problem was
to happen the police would not have a starter as regards
finding a guilty party, also the fines and also driveing .-ban
for certain offences in the roadworks leave very little room
for excuses,
I like the way that in the UK we have many roadworks
free recovery to the end of these works, also the lane kept free for
emergencey services in some cases

A little tip here if you have to pay a fine over a certain
amount normaly €45 ;you get given POINTS as well
in a ACCOUNT just for you in THE German DVLC
this also means that if caught again for the same offence
(SPEEDING) you will find that punishment harsher
as you are a REPEAT OFFENDER,

Is that the roadworks by Hamme-Uentrop or Bucholz on the A2?

I have been past both lots twice this week, and I have to agree that the standard of driving by Poles and Latvians is frightening.
At the Bucholz road works a Pole was racing to get past four trucks before it went down to two narrow lanes, wiping out quite a few cones in the process.

it was the roadworks at vieltheim ,KW
but the ones at untreop are just as bad
