FFS I don’t even drive like that when playing GTA !!
Me neither; very tame for GTA.
He should have took the Merc out on the first roundabout, dragged him out of the car and given him a few body blows with a baseball bat followed by a round or two to the face with an AK47. Then, depending on how many stars he’d got, driven over the Merc driver in his own Merc a couple of times to finish the job.
Not sure why the Merc driver should get an insurance payout. Video clearly shows he braked for no reason. Regardless of what went on before the actual collision itself is no different than a crash for cash scenario.
At the end of the day it’s knobhead car driver meets knobhead truck driver and consequent knobhead action ensues. Doesn’t say or mean anything about other car or truck drivers unless you’re also a knobhead inclined towards sweeping prejudices against whole groups of people based on the one off actions of an individual.

Houston, we’ve got another idiot.
Insurers payout based on fault for the actual collision. There is not a special clause that looks at who was driving like the biggest ■■■■ beforehand. If the video was shorter it would be an assumed crash for cash job.
Yes some, even quite a lot, of the public will think you are a dangerous driver because you are a lorry driver if they see other lorry drivers driving dangerously but like the guy in the video you just need to chill.
The truck driver was a tool and needs to be taken off the road before they escalate their next road rage session to either killing someone by squashing them as they are arguing at your cab door or driving 40 minutes through essex wielding a crowbar. (Both happened this year)
Somethings ovbiously happened before the footage starts. The truck driver is trying to get the merc to pull into the layby no doubt so they can “have words”
The truck was 100% at fault.
There’s some retards that drive HGV’S going by this thread if they think the prick driving the truck did nothing wrong probably them who wear tracksuit bottoms and tank tops, more grease in their hair than a pan of chips and who ■■■■ on the front wheels in the services when they are 10 yard from the bogs.
I love these threads as obviously most people must have been the cab have such insight into the accident. Tn csi at work again. No one knows what pressure the driver was under. May gave been late for a timed delivery we don’t know . The merc driver stopped at the roundabout when there was nothing there so it could even be set as a crash for cash

If the tot of a lorry driver wasn’t sat 6inches behind him he wouldn’t of hit him,how people can defend such poor driving must say a lot about their own attitude on the road.
No one is defending the trucker but the fact is the car driver can clearly be seen escalating the truckers anger so this makes him well and truly involved in the unfolding events.

Bollox,at what point does the car driver do anything wrong?
He/she may not be driving AT the speed limit but that’s not illegal…in the clip the lorry driver slams his brakes on 11 times before he eventually hits him so that’s 12 times altogether he was driving close enough to have to brake to avoid hitting him.
What if it was your mrs and kids in that merc would you still blame her not the lorry driver even if they were pushed into the roundabout and hit by a car/truck coming from the right and hospitalised?
It looks to me like the merc has 4 masked robbers on board with shotguns, probably just done a bank job,and the lorry driver was doin his bit for society.come on he deserves a medal.

I never thought of it that way, dude your right!!!
Hope he got a shiny medal for his work!
Seriously when I was learning to drive HGVs my instructor always said treat every vehicle around you like it’s your son/daughter in the back seat…I still have that outlook 11 years after passing my tests,I find it avoids situations like this arising.

Yeh you are right, but as I said earlier the driver is (supposed to be) a professional, the car driver is not, that is what should differentiate the two, ie: driver should display said professionalism, he does not and displays that he is not fit to be let out on his own in charge of 44 tonnes.
I have been wound up hundreds of times with some dicks in cars but have never lost control to the point of risking ramming them up the arse ( maybe in as much as I would maybe like to on the odd occasion) and risk killing them ffs.

I see your point but being able to see the build up the ■■■ in the truck should have pulled into the layby earlier in the footage and let the car go, thus diffusing the situation and protecting himself from well himself.
Another person should not have the ability to wind us up to such an extent that we become a danger to ourselves and other road users. Especially as I seem to spend most of my time cutting folk up on roundabouts, but a simple apologetic wave of the hand diffuses the situation quite quickly, if not well then I have me hammer.
Don’t get me wrong i’ve had my moments but that little voice in my head shouting “think of the paperwork” allows me to calm down quickly and just crack on.

Same as that. I think if we all said we never had the red mist come down at some stage or other, we’d be telling porkies.
There are some out there who will purposely go out of their way to wind you up just because you drive a truck but you just gota be the bigger person and let it go! It aint worth the agro IMO.
Probably fed up of the Mondeo dawdling along at 30MPH in a 50 limit which could or could not have been done deliberately to wind the truck driver up. We have no idea what went on before this which is one reason why I tend to be a bit suspicious about edited footage.

I think you’ll find doing 30MPH in a 50 MPH limit is illegal under DWDCA. You can be done for driving too slowly.
Doing 30mph in a 50 zone is not illegal, you can be done for driving in what is considered a dangerous manner but that would be driving at 10mph not 30mph,much the same as cars doing 50mph on the motorway…as much as a pain it is it’s not illegal.
I for one just wish I had the ability to momentarily take a lapse of sanity, leap from the cab,and beat the object of my annoyance to a pulp after rammeng them up the jaxie for getting on my wick…but I don’t fancy the court appearance that would no doubt follow because some trucknet csi had the video evidence to sink me…but it would be just sooooooooooooooooooooo satisfying at some point…possibly when I decide im doing my last week of driving, then someone will get their good news…
