A question about sending for provisional entitlements

Hello all. My inaugural post!

The DVLA very kindly sent me a letter containing the D2 form, and the form for getting a digital tachograph. I’ve read the booklet that came in the letter and it keeps mentioning identity documents and photos and the such like. I’ve already got my placcy licence (the joys of youth?), so I’d think they could just grab my photo off the system, and also the proof of address I gave before (passport ran out not long after, and I haven’t been anywhere so :L). Just looking for some confirmation of anybody who’s recently been through the process (or knows it well).

One last thing, anyone got any tops for job hunting and training in the Wolverhampton area?

Thanks a million!

Yes you’re right. You will need to get a D4 medical form completed by any doctor, fill in the D2 (apply for CAT C provisional and CAT D provisional - that way you get the most licences you can for no cost) and send both forms with both parts of your existing licence. No fee.

A good trainer will “hold your hand” through the process start to finish.

All the best with it, Pete
