isnt it more likely to bring the internet server in hull crashing down?
surely there cant be more than 10 people at the 1 time able to be on tinterweb in the hull region before overloading the cable?
and this fanny is accounting for about 6 of them sofar.

As if it’s Hull. UkTramp is as authentic as a Friday night lamb donner. Pimpdaddy, Dozy etc etc. internet bill must be big at Rampton
bald bloke:
0Got this from google it looks the same one or similar set up.
You just have to ask “what’s the point”? What does it carry? 8 standard pallets maybe? Yeah I get the point that it’s on parcel delivery so pallets aren’t it’s forte, but really? The vehicle is a tool to earn money at the end of the day, this just looks like an exercise in vanity.

Its an expedite truck. Mostly they work with auto parts I’m told. The drivers ( they are often teams) spend ages hanging around the truck stops then get an urgent 3 hour or 3 day run, then sit about again when theyre empty. They virtually live in those trucks, and the pay is not high. Saddest are all are the ones in tired old E150 vans with a noisy generator and cheap ac unit hanging in the passenger window hopefully waiting for a call to action.
Maybe I’m missing something and really its a great way to live, but I always feel a bit sad when I see them.

Looks an odd setup. I can appreciate the large sleeper, but the box on the back looks like it’ll fall off. Suppose a rigid living areas would be too small, and a semi trailer ott.

They look just as wierd and out of proportion up close too!
Their loads are only ever a few pallets of desperately needed stuff so the living space is even more important than load carrying. The owners and companies need warm bodies waiting and ready to go when needed so thats why the sleeper.
I dont know much about it but apparently in the world of zero inventories and just in time deliveries the expedite industry takes up the slack from more cost effective but more unweildy trucks and trains.
The automotive world spends money crazily here; I worked for a company who for nearly 2 years had 5 or 6 loads a month of car boot liners made in Halifax, Nova Scotia and delivered first half the load in LA, then the other half to Portland, OR. About 8,500km, I loved that trip!
In the end they put it on the train, would save a fortune but instead of getting it in a week it took a month and involved actually calculating what stock to order. Crazy world eh.

Stating the obvious but its just a promotional truck, Fedex wouldnt even go to the expense of stacks and Alcoas let alone look after a driver to that extent.
Unless of course its a subbies truck…
Stacks and alloys are almost standard issue here , not special .Fed-Ex ground are all O/O and I’m guessing that 'Custom Critical" are similar on the hotshot services . Pays yer money takes yer choice etc .Who gives a ■■■■ what a big sleeper looks like from the outside ?

Correct ^^ there’s so many trucks here with alcoas and stacks even on the basic of trucks.
As other people have said these small hotshot freight trucks are subbies to the parcel firms and almost always owner drivers. I have been told that it pays really good potentially but you have to be prepared to be dispatched anywhere in any random direction at the drop of a hat so getting back to your home state may be just down to luck or you might have to stay away for a long time unless you are prepared to drive a long way home without revenue. I should think that finding a couple of pallets or parcels yourself which go in the right direction would out of the question as you are operating under the parcel companies authority even as an O/O.
They are strange looking for sure with so much sleeper compares to the tiny amount of deck length. I see a lot of them at the truckstops at the Mexico border towns and many seem to be teamed by husband and wives.
