A newbie asked me

what do you think is the must have item in your cab?
I replied a nice soft Andrex toilet roll because YOU WILL have that day when an unscheduled emergency stop behind a tree is needed or one of those non stop sneezing viruses begins. Also a pack of Lidl baby wipes cos they will clean absolutely anything including 5th wheel grease.Personally I wouldn’t use them on my baby’s bum.
Any more ideas for a MUST HAVE.

a couple of lomotil or imodium tablets to call a halt to the kind of emergency yarddog refers to and a sachet of rehydration powders
slieve of flu meds, they cover aches, pains and the pseudoephedrine can see you through to the end of the shift better than proplus.
small multi-bit screwdriver.

Gloves

Johnson’s ( others available ) baby wipes thank you they do also remove 5th wheel greece

No, 2 packets in case one falls and you can’t reach it, and a second lighter easily accessible too, for the same reason

With all the Clowns driving around in Audi’s, Beemers & Skoda’s you need to be able to laugh it off !

Some late night reading material and a couple rolls of kitchen roll for those lonely nights in.

+1 on the baby wipes.

They turn a midshift emergency ■■■ from something to fear into something to look forward to.

Nothing like a nice, fresh, revitalised bum crack.

Try living with Crohns or any other bowel problem and you WILL appreciate baby / wet wipes…

Indeed, my best friend has IBS and tells me there is precious little time between the stab of destiny and total release.
