Just followed a HGV diversion around Chelmsford that took me in a big loop and back to where I started from!

For the past few weeks I’ve seen a matrix sign on the A42 north telling me that it’s shut at the the A512 - the first cone for the closure is 100 yds away from it. What a waste of electricity
Hate them with a passion and don’t get me started on motorway night closures.
4 lanes down to 1 for drainage work etc…well over the top imo.
The night time haulage industry is slowly being strangled to death.
