A good driving school

Hello everyone. I am new on the forum. Can someone please recommend me a good driving school in London or closer. I had my training with RSM company in Basildon and I am dissapointed about about their services and I am thinking to try another driver training school wich they don’t ripe you off a d they teach you properly and give you a chance to pass from the first time.

Thank you all! Have a good day.

what went wrong with RSM if you don’t mind me asking?

Newcroft in purfleet

It is a long story : many reasons they Invented just to fail me. I was wrong because I was honest and tell them I dint drive here only in my country but is not a issue the rules are everywhere the same. It is my options to aply for trucks license if I am planning to work in this industry. They just judge me and make me to give up and convince me to borough a small car first and than do the course. Another thing they ask me why I didint take any ensurance and bla bla. I already payd 1500 pounds so was enough for me. I just saw my instructor when he whisper in examiner’s ear just before start the test drive so I was sure from the beginning they will fail me. Plus he says to me we come in this country and take the others jobs and he take a lot of breaks and we drive more in straight lines just to finish his time and go home , he didn’t involve att all. In conclusion the examiner find me silly reason like 4 mistakes on how to pull over, and he says I’m approaching the roundabout to fast to fast and than to slow and I drive under the speed limit where there was verry busy traffic and you can’t just fly on top of them and many others stupid reason which cause me 16 lines to fail me. If I know it I was really wrong with serious mistakes not invented stories I was frustrated att all. But I just feell so disappointed and felt like if you are not English you don’t have any chance to pass. So I am looking for others schools but I don’t know if I am brave enough to spend another huge amount of money. Please understand me and I am sorry for my writing mistakes. That it…

Let me get this right:
No car license, so need to do that first
16 minors on test = fail?

What has your nationality to do with it?

Maher,

What type of test was you taking? I assume it was C (Rigid)?

There are always 2 sides to a story but from what I can assume is that you’ve failed as your driving is bad and instructor has suggested you drive around in a car to improve your skills and get used to British roads?

Surely thats cheaper than wasting £1000s more on trying to run before you can walk.

i’m not sure of your home country, but the standards for driving in the UK need to be met before your handed a licence.

or is this a wind up?

Do you really believe that the examiner would risk his/her career and lively-hood, just to be vindictive to you because you are foreign? I don’t! :open_mouth:

As for your instructor, if as you say he/she was resentful about foreigners, why did you continue to take car lessons from them? You should have changed instructors straight away!

I have a car and I am driving in Europe for more than 10 years . But my main car it is in Romania and I drive most in there. I know verry well how I am driving so trust me. I didn’t have a car in UK but doesnt men I didn’t drive here at all or I need practice. It is like you drive in UK for more than 10 years and you go in another country rented a car and they don’t allow you to drive because I don’t have your own car in that country, you get it now?

If you was reading my note I am explain that the instructor he just try to intimidate and explain me that a lot of romanians guys come in this country and work for less money and still thejr jobs and etc etc. But please I never saw young English people choice it to do a hard job they always prefers easy jobs and staying at home smoking …and spend money from the government, this is the real true. If you want to work it is free for everyone. I am paying taxes in this country for more than 6 years now and I didn’t aply for any benefits I just work honest different jobs and pay my bills and taxes.

As I explain before I am driving a small car b category for more than 10 years in Europe but most of the time In Romania.
And I dont have my own car here in the Uk but doesn’t mean I don’t know to drive ) LOOL.
If you know How to make ■■■ in Uk with a british girl you tell me if you go in another country like Romania for example you need a training to learn how to do it there?

Thank you.

Is driver training and testing the same across the EU ?

How does it differ from country to country ?

Rather than start a new thread i.ll just stick my question on the end of this one,

I.m looking at putting my brother through his test so he can cover for me on holidays etc, he passed his car test in 1991, i imagine he would do theory and hazard perception but what is the order of things to get him from car to class1 ( i know its all LGV now but it was class 1 when i took it  )

Modules
1a theory
1b HPT
3 practical road drive + reverse cat C

3 again for cat C+E

DCPC - either mod 2 theory + practical mod 4 tests OR 35 hours periodic attendance

Could get X amount of periodic doing both mod 3s if LGV school has them dcpc approved

Cheers Rog thats spot on
