Hi Jakey
Its wonderful to see someone take such pride. When I was about twelve until I started driving and no longer had time. I ued to go round on a saturday afternoon with holts cataloy filler and a paint tin and brush repairing scrapes and dents drivers had made to our vans
Thanks Carl , my dad was very proud of the trucks and even when he was getting on he made the lads clean/polish the trucks as often as they could .
Im lucky that I dont have to ask the men I got now , I was looking out the office just now and thought I must go and wash my wagon now as its dirty and every one else wagon are spotless . I like to do mine myself .
No work today so took the damaged items off “the hoffs” atego for repaint , though this would be better than leaving his truck parked up all week end at at lonely industrial estate ( save my diesel being nicked) .
I hate the office but some one has to do it . I remember my dad hating it ," blooooody phone dont stop " he would shout as he was smoking and drinking his tea .
Probably out of the office more than I should be but I am the sort of person that rather than turning a job down, will book it and go out and do it myself, so its all my own fault!
Only got 9 trucks on the road but trying to organise everything whilst out and about isn’t particularly easy. I love it though, there is nothing more satisfying than being absolutely knackered at the end of the day. I reacon we are all sadists really!!
We currently are flat out, though the quotes are a bit hit and miss. Got a 600 container warehouse and we only have 21 empties as of today, so it makes for an easier nights sleep knowing that is full. All in all, I can’t complain…for once
That great to have the store full now , I am now 90% full and have some jobs coming in soon to make it 100% . I now have that Michael Williams in store and that was another 8 containers on top of the 4 we took off Bishops . , he was a bit of a nightmare this time ,but he is in untill October at the soonest but I cannot see him in his new house untill December. He fell out with the owners of the house he was renting ,and then they threw him out so he gave me about 24 hours noticed ,but in the end it was about a week before we managed to empty the house into store and another rented house .
I have now had a booking for July and I have done a few quotes for July onwards etc .
I thought Mr Williams would be particular but I didnt get the impression that he would be thrown out of a rented house!!! Good for you though, nice bit of storage. Its a shame for him that his move got ballsed up but I am a great believer in ‘you get what you pay for’. My price was high, but he would have had a good job
Got a couple of booking for June and funnily enough w/c 20 May is almost fully booked already! All big jobs with little pockets of space to fill up.
Hi James , he was only thrown out because he was complaining about the heating etc then a pipe burst above his living room causing a small amount of damage but he was left with out water for 14 days , so he kicked up that much fuss that they thre him out . He has now instructed a soliciter to sort the mess out .
Ah!!! In that case I think he had cause for complaint Not sure what my wife would have said if she had to go without water for 14 days, but I guaruntee the landlord would have had earache
After this trailer sitting in the yard for 20 years untouched and unloved we have decided it to go to a new home on the fairgrounds, we used it for storing crates and wood. dad bought it brandnew for a overspill job and used it for 5 years on the back of a luton sherpa .
Dad kept hold of it and would not part with it but its looking a eye sore now and it has to go .

Isn’t that a bit selfish Steve? With summer coming what’s the chap sat on the left supposed to use as a sun-screen if you get rid of it?
