i was talking to simon wilson on friday and apparently that pic was the first trip after the paint job

I thought this thread needed reviving!Kindle, or others - do you know this operator, pulling for HC Wilson in an old Suffolk reg’d 143? I believe it’s Gary Formby from Lancashire?
Turned out nice again
i had taskers in earlier today for a 16m load for holland on behalf of wilsons. i think the bloke that drives this one was married to kate■■?
Yep, thats Irish Johns motor.
had both mike tasker and rob parris in today as well as a nice new wilson
That looks like Mike himself in the first picture.
And what a great noise Piglet’s 4 x 2 makes…

yep, that was mike, there was a clue in the first line of the post he had his boy with him too, the lad wasnt happy as he thought they were shipping out last night, due to a change of plan he ended up loading for monday delivery, he’d got a proper sulk on and wouldnt talk to me, i think he thought it was my fault. it looks like mike had put the lads trousers on.
where they are loading is right next to the factory, when piglet fired the V8 up you could hear it inside the building over the top of the machinery.
ROCKY HOLLAND:
ANOTHER 530 I DROVE , BELONGS TO MORRIS TRANSPORT, OSWESTRY
Hi mate,I had x97 when she was 3 months old when andrew morris left,i had it for about a year, chris morris had x98 with the black mirror covers.did lambs to swiss most weeks and loaded chocolate back.
Did a few loads down to porto then ran across to valencia for oranges.that was a long way empty.that truck flew, the more you put on her the better it went.
i live in newbury now and still see it on route to sainsburys basingstoke i guess.
Spottted one of Tasker’s old units for sale on Euro-Wheels - it seems to be the one he sold to JFH and got liveried in dark blue.
I’m sure it’s the same truck, but the badging says it’s a 460 not a 530 - unless its a different motor from the same fleet? I’ve seen this around pulling fridge trailers, it’s now on dutch plates:

BTW have tasker and parris moved into Leggetts yard recently?
My ex gaffa’s 144 530
This is truly a thread that will not die. I have just found a new gallery on Neil Jarrold’s site dedicated to the trucks talked about and pictured here - it’s got some great pics including subbies such as Martin Minshall.
