Erm…a couple more nuggets for fellow newbs to take note of. It seems the Beaver has underestimated some of the helmets on his adventures.
- When you are required to hand in your truck keys,take the VW fob off your car keys before you hand them in (so you can listen to your radio). It is a giveaway that you are taking the ■■■■.
- When late at RDC’s,an excuse that I had uncontrollable diarrhoea does not appear to work. It was pointed out to me today,that mine was ’ The verbal type ',and most truck drivers seem to suffer this affliction. Therefore…get in the [zb]ing queue.
- If you require a hard hat,and the boss kindly offers you his,dont put it on your head and exclaim that the boss must have a head shaped like a ‘knackered old spud’. Just because you heard a door shut behind you,it DOES NOT mean he has gone through it.
This will mean (or it has in my case) lots of photocopying of company documents, and making tea for ALL other drivers,when requested. All company drivers have now been given full authority from boss to say " Thanks bellend " upon receipt of said beverage.
