Haven’t they recently introduced a new booking in procedure?
liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/bus … es-9021813
its down to them trying to modernise and keep working as normal i suppose once its finished it will work properley
We don’t go through the normal booking in system as contractors to companies on the Docks but your right iit’s a major building site with rubbish instructions once your on site.
Saw them queuing up on…Wednesday. Looked bad.
Also, the roundabout at the red lion. What in Gods name have they done to it? Been round it a few times and already seen folk almost crash into each other every time. It’s awful
I alway sneak in the strand Road entrance,
I just look longingly at all the class one gods as I trundle past in my class 2 with Moffett
Same here with my 26 tonner and my flt’s o my the back
self loading/unloading the future
Oh no, happy to have others unload me. Having that Moffett is like a green light for some , SOME, forkies and all site managers to talk to you like dog zb

No bugger gets on the back of my wagon, soon as I drop the ramp the rampant forkie can’t wait to run up it forks first showing off to his mates.
He then gets a roar from me to stop (usually including the word “knobhead”) then an explanation as if he fell off his wife would be skint, if I fell off the wagon mine would be loaded via insurance.
then a quick explanation as to why they go on forks to the rear
Lol, I’m not allowed to climb on the back of me own wagon!! So my wife would be skint as well cus company wouldn’t pay out if I fell off.
I think I’ve seen you , well, I have noticed the wagon a few times.

If my Mrs new she would push me
give me a flash and wave if you spot me, grey 4 series scania with Nasus on the side and a fool driving it usually singing his nuts off
down the gower peninsula for the first half of next week but back local I think after that.
what are you in?
I’m in an Iveco flatbed white with with a green moffet on. Usually getting to places by the seat of my pants.
First drop is the rocket on Monday morning. That’s all I know up to now.
Was in that queue on Friday. Arrived at 13.10, left at 17.40.
Hourly paid so happy days.
And no, the new booking in system is still not in use
Don’t think its a lot to do with the booking system…more the working practices within the port…its like stepping back into the 1970s…
At least it is in the steel terminal, you can be the only truck in there and they will still take 2 hrs to load you!
Stuck in it on Wednesday queueing along Regent Road. It seems like they’ve got less straddle carriers on at the moment as the turnaround times in the slots are longer than before and it’s having a knock on effect with the traffic coming in. I’m hoping they finish the new system soon as I despise the booking in office.
Decieded not to go in Fridayy so parked up at crewe.
Went in this morning but very busy from Fridays overspill.
Fairdo’s as limited staff where working their balls off. Compared to me as a box jockey paid by the hour.
No point whinging as that just the way things are.

I heard a rumour yesterday (from a haulier) which is along these lines. But since it is just that, a rumour, I won’t post it.
Happy to divulge via pm

I’m just presuming from the longer turnarounds, used to be seen to in about 5-10 minutes, I was in on Wednesday and waited 20. I know I shouldn’t take that to be an average but if all vehicles are taking 2-4x longer from getting in to out of the slots no wonder it’s having problems. They haven’t got a great deal of slots to begin with.
