Before anyone starts I’m not trying to fudge any records 
I’ve just bought a fancy new phone case and wallet hybrid then noticed when I got home that it has a magnet in the top cover to hold the front shut. Will this cause any damage to my drivers card? I’ve tried searching around on Google but can’t seem to find anything relevant.

Don’t think it would be an issue mate, as I imagine your phone’s sim card and memory card would go wobbly before your tacho chip in the machine as they’re a lot closer to it.
Just reread your post, you mean when it’s in the wallet… can’t see it personally… just try the wallet/ phone holder without your card in it for a day maybe and see how your memory cards doing if anything.
Good idea, I’m just being cautious after my last card decided to die for seemingly no reason.

You need some pretty strong magnets to mess with the yacht.
Personally I wouldn’t I have my card in a proper card holder on my car keys etc the same as my bank card is in my wallet in my coat pocket if you always take a bag put it in one of the pockets.
Wrap everything in tin foil, then sow ur pockets up and run if anyone looks at u[emoji106] it’s the only way[emoji15].
