Zero situational awareness by that driver, The law says give them a wide berth as they’re the ones most at risk, The days of vehicles ruling the roost on the roads are over, The younger generation are now making highway laws from the viewpoint behind handlebars & not wholly from behind the windscreen of a car. Our narrow road network will make this harder in practice.

The father clearly is of the view that I HAVE RIGHT OF WAY SO I AM RIGHTSure he may not be wrong.
However, like many, he’s ignoring the fact that it’s no good being “in the right” when you’re dead. 
Whatever happened to “common sense”? It seems to have become extinct in the years since I left school.
EDIT: the car driver could, and should, have had more consideration when he could clearly see it was a child, but the parent is not helping matters, nor showing the kind of parental care that I would expect, and what I did with my kids when they were that age.

Common sense has been on the decline for years, however I do detect a more rapid decline in common sense since everyone has had a camera in their pocket.
It appears that too many people prioritise a good video over safety and common sense.

Very true, you can tell from the dad’s voice that he’s a lycra hero and wanted a video to get some attention.
just lucky his kid wasn’t hurt to fullfil his fantasy.
