Well i eventually took the camera to work yesterday and managed to get just a few snaps.
cant be many motorways this empty at 15.00 on a friday!
first drop. This is a store in grimsby
Thanks planners for all those lovely 5ft bollards…Great. The only way into this drop is a blindside round those things. and to make it worse the people in that house you can see in the photo come out and watch to make sure you dont mount the pavement and crack the flags!!
Job done so its off to Scunthorpe for drop two
Access through carpark…looks empty in this photgraph but an hour earlier it was full
Then back in to this loading dock
Look at the picture and you can tell a few have not got it quite right…
(ps also looks like ET is about!!!)
Again access is tight with cars one side and a wall and gates the other
time to leave…Well maybe not just yet till this guy gets off the double yellows on the corner.
Think they can get anymore metal work on this junction
Well thats it the first work photos will try and take camera with me a bit more and get some more.

That has to be the M180, more commonly known as ‘The Road To Nowhere’! (And I recognised it before I read further down to see you were in Grimsby)
If you think it was quiet on a Friday afternoon, you should see it at 4am on any morning of the week. I drove that road for about twelve months on bread deliveries and the only traffic you used to see at that time were the tankers coming out of the refinery at Immingham.
now ive got the photo thing sorted heres a few more from today!
~Nice trip to Horncastle for me. in this
Its another drop were the residents come out and watch you to make sure your not damaging there property.
mind you you get close!
Back in off this road. When your swinging round the unit JUST misses that hand rail
in place
This is how tight the gate hole is
also on this little road is a big tesco at the end so to say there was a bit of traffic was an understatement- but it went in fairly easy. Mind you dont think i could have done that 6 months ago thats for sure!!!
or even worse a K reg Erf rigid for one shop that runs on a specially built chassis apparently, so the wheels are right at the back. though this as just been replaced by a new 05 plate volvo rigid but there is too much overhang on the rear and it dont fit as easy!!
jessicas dad:
i did a day on agency a couple of years ago at somerfield sherburn … wont be going back. i didnt like the drops or moving cages all the time.

Its not exactly hard…they do have wheels on
yeah and every wheel wants to go in oposite direction to the others.

Exactly! That’s why I won’t do cages/trollies either. All the ones I get have got square wheels on them
