You mean like putting a 6.0 motor and manual box in a Jag XJ and using it to travel to numerous decent hotels across Europe.That type of worthwhile.
I’ve done camping/caravanning and didn’t like it.But an American motor home ‘would’ have made it tolerable/much more agreeable.

A Jag should ideally stay as an inline 6 or a V12 even allowing for the LS pushrod simplicity advantage.The manual box conversion takes a bit more thought and lot’s more parts.
I was mainly referring to the resulting ability to cover a lot of ground quick combined with decent hotels.

It didn’t say that all answers should be limited to a similar solution as the example shown.He also implied feel free to ctriticise it. 
So there you have it.Use a comfortable quick saloon car and decent hotels or rent a decent American motor home.Was that so bad.

Been looking at the budget for the retirement plan Euro tour by camper in a few years time.
Think I’ve come up with a compromise between the cool US RV, and me making my own articulated camper like in the o/p.
So I’m about to try and sell this idea to the Mrs…What do you think??
