A Bridge to far

This lad paid the price for not reading the bridge signs properly:

i think it was just that he hadnt checked his height on walkround so was blase when approached it but as we all know if in doubt STOP, but also may have been accustom to a lower trailor and just forgot, No excuse mind

Wonder what his travelling height was? Obviously thought he could get under fifteen foot,

When I approach a low bridge like that, I don’t care what height my truck is and what height the bridge is, I slow right down and poke my head out the window and make sure with my own eyes that I’m going to fit under. I couldn’t care less how ridiculous this might make me look to other road users who might be more accustomed to the area. The way I see it double checking doesn’t look half as ridiculous as that picture does and many more like it.

If I was 14"6 going under that, I would slow down, but trust my maths and eyes. If I was 14"9 I would not even attempt it.
