£3,000 fine per stowaway

I’ve just read in that wonderful font of all knowledge: todays ‘The Sun’ that the UK government are considering putting up the fines passed onto drivers & operators caught with illegal immigrants stowed away on their vehicle from £2,00 per immigrant upto £3,000 per immigrant.

That’s all we need right now!!!

That’s not such a bad deal if you get to keep your immigrants afterwards and get them in the fields or on the game.

I wouldn’t be very happy if I had to pay £3k per head and then had them took off me though.

That’s the difference between employers and indigenous staff then. :sunglasses:

Meanwhile airline pilots, ship 's Captain and Euro tunnel train drivers get away with illegals and no fines.
They are responsible for their mode of transport.

It’s been 3k per head for ages. Simple to solve. U charge 4k per head… Can’t lose.

How do you think the first few days of their keep is paid for?

Is there an advert or Thai brides coming here?

Good more drivers may take appropiate precautions then,if u aint got the tir cord on u shouldnt be allowed on the boat.

The illegals break the TIR cord then join it back together.
They also break the seal and glue it back together. The drivers need to tug the cord to check for interference. With a cord, they can still get in on the roof.

Oh aye, a TIR cord is like a glo-in-the-dark vest.
It’ll protect you from everything :smiling_imp:

You will only receive a fine if you don’t have written proof that you have carried out checks after loading and before boarding this can be
achieved by a simple form which you fill in before you arrive back in the UK.Use one every trip, tick boxes, checked this and that showing
in writing that effort has been made. You make up the form ,name, date, time ,checked seals, locks, underneath and outside lockers and
if when loaded you get the company stamp where you loaded that should be enough to save you losing money if guests are aboard. The form
I use I have passed on to others but I don’t know how to pass it onto here for you guys to use.And make sure your checking times
coincide with the times the vehicle is stopped on your tacho, you can’t check when your moving.

I’d be happy to work something out to help - I’ll PM you in a minute.
