problem solved, i did a change over at crick then ran upto south kirby to tip friday morning and back in yard with 2 hours remaining. its the first time the problem as occured but this week the i’ve done 2 days 8hr50 min plus 2 days off 9hr 30min aprox every day plus last week i did 48 hours.

I’m really pushing the maximum 90 hours this week, I have done the last two weeks and got back within the 90 hours both times; not by much but 1 minute is enough. I am parked in Belgium at the moment with 86 hours 31 minutes driving showing for my two weeks. I have to get down to the train and then back to Hatfield and I calculate that should take me , with the queuing to board the train about 3 and a quarter hours which doesn’t leave me much wiggle room. If I don’t make it I will have to park until 01:00 BST on Monday before I can drive again.

I wasn’t referring to ady1’s work pattern, I haven’t read his post. I didn’t think ROG was either and thought he was saying he thought the maximum consecutive calendar days you could drive on was 13. I was saying while he was thinking it was 13 I was knowing it was 21, might even be more but can’t be arsed working it out I just know I’ve done 21.

full weekly rest for week 1 (at the start of the week)
Work nights mon/tue tue/wed wed/thu thu/fri fri/sat sat/sun finish 1200
24 hours off (to prevent more than 6 X 24 hour periods)
work nights starting mon 1200 - work mon/tue tue/wed wed/thu thu/fri fri/sat sat/sun finish 1200
24 hours reduced weekly rest for week 2 (at the end of the week)
work nights starting mon 1200 - work mon/tue tue/wed wed/thu thu/fri fri/sat sat/sun finish 1200
full weekly rest for week 3 (at the end of the week)
21 calender days if I have that correct - YES/NO
That’s one way, but you don’t have to work nights to do it. Pretty much as you said but working days and on some days not very long shifts, say around 5 or 6 hours. When I did it it was something like start work after 4 days off, so back to back rest periods and second can be full weekly rest counting for week 1. Work Mon - Sat, 24 off. Work Sun - Fri, 24 off. Work Sat - Thurs, 24 off. work Fri - Sun then start full weekly rest. 21 consecutive days, no night shifts and all legal.

my next shift was meant to be a 2 am start sat, but as there short of drivers they want me to go in at 10 p.m tonight,do the job which should take me up untill 9 a.m fri mon, night out[day really] run back at 7 p.m and finish at 3.m sat ,then do a short run on sat,it doesnt look very legal to me but they say the regular driver does it every week so its fine, they havent taken into account he does mon -fri, i do sat- wed, so i start two days before him.
i wasnt going to do it, but they say its all right so im going to fill my pockets .
i now await rog,coffee, taco telling me its perfectly legal
Correct me if I’m misunderstanding this but if I’m getting this correctly you started at 04:00 Saturday worked Sunday, Monday Tuesday Wednesday and finished on Thursday at 06:00, you’re working Thursday night until about 09:00 Friday and will start again at 19:00 Friday until about 03:00 Saturday and then do another short run on Saturday

I assumed ROG was reply to your comment, in your about working over 7 consecutive days and it’s legality. I assumed this from the fact he emphasised the word calendar so wasn’t referring to 24-hour periods and was making a general comment about the number of consecutive days you could legally work, which in true ROG style he got wrong by a wide margin.
so let me see if i get this on friday, my last 2 weeks total driving came to 89hours 42 min and i had to be rescued, and have sat and sun off (or at least till 0001 monday) as it would also be at least 45 hors off +3 hours pay back
i spent hours on the phone tring to explain this to my planner he could still not understand the week starts on a sunday night/monday morning 
at least i hope it does or i got some explaining to do to the boss tomorrow

You’ve got no explaining to do apart from explaining to your planner that he/she should know when a weeks driving limit starts and ends, which is of course 00:00 Monday to 24:00 Sunday.
So yes your weeks driving quota starts afresh on Monday at 00:00 and your two weeks driving will be last weeks driving plus any driving done between 00:00 Monday and 24:00 the following Sunday.
