I used to meet rrgularly with one of their drivers on the old Rosyth to Zeeby boat a few years ago, (can’t for the life of me remember his name) .he used to tell me they were a decent outfit to work for at that time tbf, and all good decent and clean kit.

As you say hopefully he’ll find himself a decent career between now and then.

I feel really smug and proud of myself in the fact that I succeeded in talking both my lads out of it, who were both mad keen after coming away with me when they were kids.
They both have far better jobs now than I have, and on much more money working proper hours that real jobs bring.
In fact I think if I had been mad enough to encourage her, one of my daughters would have ended up in this game, she was more keen than the lads were,.she started coming with me at 4 years old all over Europe…she is now 25.

Rob , my work mate has managed to do the same with his 18 year old son and he’s now doing warehouse work , he went as a drivers mate the other week in to London and said to his dad I can see why you hate driving in London
To be fair he’d probably do a better job than half the ■■■■■ that drive for them now. I bet he’d be safer coming down the A9 than the up your arse tailgating mob that they are. Whats the saying, pay peanuts…….
