8 year sentence for falling asleep behind the wheel

I remember the thread about this tragic event well, a lot of posters on here were saying the cyclists were at fault for using that road.

“The court heard that 10 weeks later Palmer again fell asleep at the wheel of a lorry and hit another truck in the middle of the night on the same road.”

Lee said that Palmer habitually sent messages while driving including one that had said: “My work schedule does not include sleep. Lol”.

Throw the book at him, he knew what he was doing by not allowing for rest/sleep and texting while driving. One less idiot on the roads.
