8 wheeler tipper training and cpc mod 2 pass

Well its been a while since i managed to get to a pc,
Left my job as a security gaurd
After self funding my class 2,
With little road experience i took a 3.5t beaver tail job delivering cars all over the country, it went well but i saw an advert for a class 2 tipper job,
I phoned up and explained my cpc situtation that i have both parts booked for this month.
Next thing im at the yard in a 06 foden alpha with the eaton 12 speed.
“Take this for a trip lets see how you do he says”
Now i hadnt touched a wagon since november 2013 so i was nervous to say the least,
The drive went well and as a result i have spent the past 2 weeks shadowing a driver and learning the ropes, passed mod 2 yesterday and have mod 4 on the 29th.
With hopes to securing a permanent paid position with the company,
So keep your heads up and it an be done without agency crap!
Truck on guys!

Well done nice to see it can be done, there is jobs for newbies just got to be prepared to put the leg work in.
Agencies are an end to a means not the be all and end all, but the one I was with got me into poundland without it I wouldn’t have got a permanent job out of it.

Good luck for the new job.

Jeff.

Dont get me wrong jeff,
Agencys have there uses.
Just happy to have been given a chance

Well after a long few weeks, i should hopefully know if i have a paid permanent position with the company i have been training with, fingers crossed

Interesting situation that I am not so sure is legal … taking an assessment drive before having the legal right to drive a LGV commercially … it certainly does fall into any dcpc exemption that I know of ■■?

Maybe they were road testing the vehicle?

But seriously, you have a point.
