Im down in Devon and Cornwall today, and heading up the A30 Northbound earlier was a newish Scania 8 wheel rigid with drawbar trailer. Nothing strnge in that, other than it was a flatbed rigid with a tridem rear bogie (three axles) pulling a flatbed three axle close-coupled trailer. I cant remember if it had a crane behind cab.
Does anybody know who is operating it, as it is a very rare beast. IIRC there used to be some livestock hauliers down in the South West who ran Volvo and Scania 8 wheel rigid with tridem bogies, and I wonder if it was one of there’s
I’m sure I saw an article about someone running one on livestock in the south west it was chocolate & cream. I’m sure I’ve seen the outfit you describe but I can’t remember it
Do Poretta still have a Chinese 6 Scania? Haven’t seen it for a few years.
Ladies and gents, it was white cab with IIRC a black and red stripe on it. I seem to think that Poretta run in blue, so I am guessing it wasnt their one.
that sounds like one of Morleys wagon’s from over Nuneaton way, , theyve got a few 8 wheel scanny hiabs with triaxle drags and a flatbed and drag aswell
