Any advantage on going wider rims on the steer axle for 295 section tyres?
only ever used 9 inch rims for 315’s myself

Seen some on fleabay, a google search says they can be used with 295’s but was wondering if there was any + or - points.
295 should only be on 8.25
305 can be used on either
315 for 9.
Saying that i have some 315/70 on 8.25 alloys that run nicely.
No Advantage.9 " rims on 295s dont fit correctly for some strange reason?? something to do with the tyre width
I’ve ran 315’s on 8.25 rims they looked OK if a little fat, doing it the other way I think would be worrysome as the tread pattern would be narrower than the rim…

You can put 315"s on to 8,25 rims but it doesnt work the other way round 9.00" on to 295"s to much pull on the tyres?

Yes Chap thats what I’m saying in My own way
According to some blurb I’ve read you can put 295’s on 9 inchers, but I think I’ll stick to 8.25’s and keep it simple
