Henry Stephens:
They have ordered the electric chair off Amazon, doomed I would say.

Totally ineffective in ■■■■■■■ Tobes, they don’t have electricity yet. So it’s just “a chair”.

Do the cars run on stream there?

Bet you…

A bag of butterscotch he does.

I’m owed…

A bag of butterscotch.

Henry Stephens:

Yeah a stream of consciousness apparently

I’ve never been to Carnforth truck stop so only looked at Google street view. Given the number of roundabouts and a booking- in procedure to follow I think your union sponsored barrister would have won the day. The tachograph speed/time/distance recording most likely shows that you were less than a mile from selecting rest when your seven minutes began and probably even less than that.

Yup. Looks like a pallet’s worth at this rate. I’ll see if I can get it added to my run if you can furnish me with your address [emoji16]

This post is typical of transport today. Make or admit to one tiny error, ask a question that everyone else has an answer to(right or wrong!) and the whole world comes crashing down around your ears.

Poor Rob, poor, poor Rob

I had driving time left in fact, only my spreadover was exceeded.

Cheers cav…I’ve got you down for representing me in court.
I’ll be in touch.

robroy:
Christ you know you’re on a downer when dozy starts taking the ■■■■■

 Better hang up your keys now

A small contribution for this topic for anyone finding themselves in comparable risk analysis dilemmas:

Driver is caught driving over his 15 hours, potential maximum fixed penalty of £300, probably also told he can’t drive for a minimum 24 hour period, just in order to get back on track with working 24 hour period
vs
Driver caught driving with no card in; TE160(DH) prohibition, potential maximum court fine of £5000, potential investigation of Operating Centre records looking for similar bouts of “missing mileage”, virtually guaranteed Driver Conduct Hearing with the TC, virtually guaranteed suspension of HGV entitlement, only real question is for how long.

Bit of a “no brainer” innit?

Just as well you didn’t do a Dozy
You’d have been hung by your toe nails
and demoted to bully’s

Would she/ he view driving straight passed a perfectly good ■■■■■■■■■■■■ any different , card in or not than a minute into yard then a few mins round yard , good luck to the driver who wants to take your advice& find out there thoughts on it , I won’t be & I doubt rob will be if he’s got any sense

Yes, because what you did shows a careless disregard for the law. So it wasn’t just a minute then as you keep protesting, rather you pulled card and did a few minutes round yard? How many minutes?

Last time I…

Hit the yard showing 14.58 on the spread, I stopped it right in front of the office (blocking their view of the car park), wrote a small note along the lines of ‘out of time so long suckers’ on the steering wheel for the shunter and went straight home.

There’s a world of difference between fraud (you) and robroy (legit) going slightly over the top.

Well you seem to be in a minority of cpc trainers as the one I’m doing the course on said by driving past a ■■■■■■■■■■■■ you are then putting people’s safety at risk , that is deemed to be very serious , this is the third cpc trainer in the last month who’ve said this , yet you’re right there wrong
As for me the dvsa solicitor said outside court it was a Nothing charge , the t/c only found it worth a caution , the judge in court said you’re company have a duty of care to there employees , they failed miserably , I wasn’t sacked , no warnings
You can Google where I took card out , traffic lights just outside stobarts yard at Dagenham , that max of 1 minute into yard , yet you say that’s unsafer than blasting for 15/30/ 1 hr until you fancy stopping up a motorway , believing if you pile into some cars writing on a printout will make it all fine
Mind you drove paddy wagons ( not very well though ) so not suprise you think breaking the law is fine , who in there right mind thought it a good idea to allow you anywhere training I don’t know , pity they didn’t book me on a course with you , as I’d of soon squared you up

Quick off the mark as usual I see. Feel free to join a CPC session, me absolutely destroying you would be very entraining for the other drivers. I’m doing drivers hours next week actually at a variety of times, pop me an email and I’ll let you join for free, can’t say fairer than that. Will be recorded tho  Go on big man, your move  luke@lorry-driver.com

What’s happening with your hgv licence btw? DVLA medical guys still taking their time with it?

Had to admit recently it won’t be coming back. My eyesight isn’t up to scratch anymore. I’m as surprised as anyone about how weirdly unconcerned I am by it tho! I’d done so many jobs and so many types of work I’d have just been repeating myself. It just means I need to make a go of what I’m going, which I love doing so all good. Plus a spaniel puppy is coming to live with me soon

Agree…

I use contact lenses at work. Dropping and picking up trailers is awkward enough without having to worry about my specs falling off and inevitably getting crushed or lost in a puddle.
