In Trucking magazine there is an article for 1 days free DCPC which is JAUPT accredited, you only have to pay for the cost of uploading your details, £8.95. The course is Safe Urban Driving, the only stipulation is that you can ride a bike!
Unfortunately this is London based and is aimed at drivers who regularly drive in the area, training can be delivered in Hackney, Mill Hill, Bermondsey or at a haulage companys depot. Call 0208 359 5157.

they all told us that because of the low uptake for the dcpc, there would be an upserge in demand, which would increase costs to an unpresidented level. the truth of this is quite clear.
they are giving it away. 
I’ve booked a place. I really don’t want to comply with the burocrats from Brussels on this stupid abortion called the DCPC, but, if I can’t stop it, then I will have to do it in order to continue the work that i have been doing for 30 + years without any problems. If I can get it for free or at minimum cost, then thats what i will do. it’s the same “qualification” whether i pay £8.95 or £89.50 per course. as for the subject, what do i care, it counts towards my DCPC and for me, thats all that matters!
My advice to anyone who has to pay for this thing themselves is to take any free or very low cost course available, don’t worry about the subject or whether you will learn anything, because it simply doesn’t matter!
