The one heading to Old Mixom ind est, I .went over the ■■■■ earlier.
I’d been to that est a while ago before, and I thought the bridge was AFTER the estate…Aye it was if I had gone in the right way.
When I saw it I couldn’t get turned round as the only junction was blocked with cars,.and if I’d reversed back it would have been a major ■■■■ storm…so I went for the bridge , only to see ■■■■ camera on other side.
Anyhoo no excuses,.except I just assumed that it was, as I said before the bridge, or if not there would have been a sign with the actual ind est sign that was there pointing yohan alternative route for HGVs (there was an illuminated sign saying HGVs to sea front, but I hadn’t a clue if that was also meant for ind est also or not)
So local knowledge…
Is it a regular trap for trucks that bridge with regular fines,.and what is the going rate for that particular general offence.

If that is Winterstroke Road, it has been like that for a few years now and it is weak and beyond life expired (should have been replaced by now). You will get called into the office when the fine arrives. Pay up and look happy. Nothing else you can really do. Use Flowerdown Bridge in the future (A370) and go via The Runway Road.
Couldn’t give a toss about being called in office, my fault jack all I can do about it,.I’m more concerned how much they are going to financially ■■■■ me for, if anybody has any idea.
The cynic in me tells me the council won’t knock it down,.and keep on with the ambiguous signage as long as idiots like me are going to ■■■■ up on there and fund their Christmas party.
As I said, I had been there before, I just genuinely ■■■■ ed up this time.

I think that weight limit has arrived in the last few years. Sure I’ve been over that bridge. I did same as you because I’d been that way to it before I didn’t take notice of the weight limit sign thinking the estate would be before it. Tipper driver told me turn around in the yard down the side of the petrol station.

Go to top of bridge,.as you come down look up to your right, it’s high up.
If the ■■■■■■■ s had put a camera on other side as you meet it, I’d have just backed up to roundabout despite the problems it would have caused.
Any of you local guys heard of anybody actually getting done on that camera before ?
I’ve been caught out by that bridge, I went over it once in an 18t rigid never got fined, the signage is ■■■■ poor, you don’t realise until you actually get to the bridge that its 7.5t.
If ever I go there again its via the A371 then The Runway…

It’s actually attached to one of the tall street lights on the rhs as you come over bridge towards ind est.
