Does the 7 bridge take credit cards and how much is it in a artic? :wink:

Motorbikes - free
Cars - £4.80 , regardless of towing anything
Vans - £9.60 ( you will NOT get away with a private van being classified as a car, they WILL assist you back to the last junction if you don’t have enough cash - happened to my brother in law once although they may just take your details now )
Lorries - £14.30
No credit cards, free for disabled but you must have the disabled person and his / her badge with you in the car.

Cash only but they will also accept US dollars and EUROS. Charges into Wales only. Please don’t get in the coin bin or TAG queue if you don’t belong there, it’s the most frustrating thing to get everyone to reverse out.

Cheques with a Guarentee card only.

from February first the charges have included VAT - and there wasn’t a price rise :open_mouth: :open_mouth: so keep the tickets - it’s a reduction if you claim it back!

They take euros too but chances are that won’t help much. :wink:

and amazingly they didn’t charge us a penny over normal LGV price for our 2 slightly (19’ 9" :wink: ) overwidth loads on tuesday night - the bloke at SBMU told me to write to my MP to tell him what good value it is :laughing:

it is pretty good though considering dartford would’ve charged an extra £46, and an extra £190 if we’d been just another 4 inches wider :open_mouth:

Didnt know that it was’nt VAT claimable before.
Dont understand why they wont take credit card’s. The M6 Toll takes them and it is so quick and easy to do,. Maybe the severn bridge will get their act together one day.

what I dont understand, with the modern technology is: If we have to pay for roads and tolls, why can’t they use athe same system?

I can use any peage in France with my Caplis card. I can pay for tunnels with it, If I need to pay other tolls or ferries I use my fuel card.

I can even get fuel from French competitor haulage sites using my Lafon fuel key

My credit card works in every country in the world I have ever visited. Surely it is not difficult to collect tolls from one system like the dart tag :exclamation:

I had to be escorted back a couple of weeks ago because they dont take cards.

I asked if they are goimng to ■■■■■■ me why dont they ■■■■■■ me to Magor services where I can draw out the cash from a cashpoint?

reply “sorry not allowed”

So on my round trip back to M5 then south to first junction back to M4 then to Severn view services I noticed that there are NO SIGNS telling you they dont take cards until you have gone pastt the junction for the services.

Why cant they put one up?
