7.5t weight limit

If the sign does Not have Except for access.
Is it a blanket ban, or can some thing be delivered.
Place is blocked by 7.5 weight limit all routes.
Say you were delivering street lamps, or a big generator due to a power cut etc

Come on,do you really need to ask,7.5 would be blanket ban.
Street lamps etc etc would be an exception due to the need, common sense should tell you that they would difficult to get on a 7.5

Given enough time it must be possible to check whether it is a blanket ban. I wouldn’t put it past the local nimbys to go around removing the Except for Access signs, but I would never rely on that being so without confirmation.

Good luck trying to argue common sense at the side of the road with a traffic cop.

Look carefully at 7.5 tonne limit signs and quite often you will see the paint on the post indicating that the locals have indeed “er lost” the except for loading/access board.[emoji39] This is often the case in London.
My problem area is Windsor. How the heck locals expect their Cornflakes delivered is beyond me!

The M62 Ouse Bridge was recently closed due to an unexploded bomb, the diversion route was signed up through Goole & Airmyn and a 7.5tonne limit, it was great fun for a couple of days :stuck_out_tongue:
