Now here’s a tip that will help you out in life …
NEVER EVER EVER EVER … Leave a job and take the same sort of job for less money. Next and all future employers are going to look at this move and think you are stupid, which by the way you have just proved is not far from the truth.

On the face off it I would agree with the above, but reading more about Mezzzz reasons for leaving I can understand why he moved to a lower hourly paid job, sometimes any job is better than a bad job no matter how well paid. After all a high rate with low hours aint going to buy as much as a low rate with loads of hours. and if your in the wagon most the week, then you might as well be working. being parked up on a night out for 13/14 hours is ridiculous and soul destroying, I know I’ve had some of it too. Some off us only spend all week away from home to earn, And only want long periods of down time when at home. Not parked in some poxy truckstop or msa.

if someone moves jobs because his terms and conditions have been changed completely, because he has a life outside work, has a family and doesnt want to spend the majority of his time sat in a little steel and fibreglass box NOT gettin paid ,how the ■■■■ does that make him stupid
and if you’re prepared to put up with restricted working hours beyond those we already have ,the crap daily from a a childish pedantic arse of a tm ,then knock yourself out mate, personnaly ,im not a ■■■■■ doormat,i’d rather walk.
I’m always wary of salaried driving jobs…
I’ve yet to come across one that does not take the ■■■■ on a grand scale…

I’m on salary, paid for 48, average 40/42 worked. downside of it is, i’m a trolley dolly.
Welcome to `Broken Britain ’
no wonder the jobs fubar
just thought id clarify the new job has a HIGHER hourly rate but doesnt pay a bonus like the old job which is why its less money
Truckulent:
Some like cleaning other people’s trucks. Then are surprised when they aren’t taken seriously by their employer who’s laughing his ■■■■ off!!!![]()

Some of us prefer not to give the impression we’re a grufty tramp like you. Some of us don’t like working in ■■■■ like you appear to.
Oh, and we’re the ones in our clean trucks laughing at grufters like you as VOSA pull you in at every vehicle inspection whilst we get waved on by…
What’s the point of tramping unless you can maximise your paid hours at work? May as well just get a home every night driving job. Making him park up for 14 hours every day would do most people’s head in.
