Was at NFT St albans on tue for induction for work for sainsburys and was discussing the wtd and the 6 hour rule , i said if u have done your 4 1/2 hour driving and take a break and then when u have done another 1 1/2 hours work u need another break . the Nft guy said to me this was up to u if u wanted a break u take it but u dont have too.
What is the true meaning of this rule please?
Davey Boy, if you drive 4.5hrs then take a 1hr break this then covers you
as you can now do 6hrs work before you need to take another rest of 1hr
ALSO if you take breaks of ONE hr and above these can be used to
your advantage with the normal large rest period,
example, Drive 4hrs rest 1hr drive 3hrs work 2hrs drive1hr rest 1hr
drive 2hrs …now take your large rest period of 9 OR 11 HRS:
