Can the six hour rule be split into 2 15min breaks
You only need one 15 minute break for the 6 hour rule.
You should have a 15 minute break before going over 6 hours working time, there’s no legal requirement to have 30 minutes break for the 6 hour rule.
If you work more than 6 hours but not more than 9 hours you should have a total of at-least 30 minutes break, 15 minutes of that break should be started before going over 6 hours working time, the other 15 minutes can be taken at any time except the immediate end of the shift.
Why…
Would you wanna do nearly 6 hours of whatever without a decent break?

Maybe it’s job and knock.
My shift tomorrow has me running 2 miles up the road to tip, back to the mill to reload, then back 2miles down road to tip then repeat 3 time . Plus abit of shunting.
If I can do it without a break I will, if not I would take the bare minimum break possible.
Stuck on the m25 I wouldn’t to it by choice

Stay below 6 hours and no breaks required at all. If you go over the 6 hours you will need 30m total but this could be 2 x 15m
